Introduction To Home Theater Part III: The Installation

Start here to learn everything about Home Theater

In our most recent blog, we discussed how Bravo AV’s design process centers a team of professionals around your vision to develop a detailed plan of action.  Our three-part series resumes in this blog with our approach to the home theater installation phase of your project. Whether you live in Warren or beyond, our New Jersey-based team has over a decade of experience crafting custom home cinemas designed to your personal tastes. When you partner with Bravo AV for your home theater needs, we’ll make sure your vision is accurately translated into a world class design and is built exactly to your design specifications.

Your Custom Home Theater Installation Once you approve all the design documents we have presented you, our team will get to work leading the installation phase of your project. The first step of installation begins when we order necessary equipment and coordinate with other project stakeholders to see when their materials will arrive. Once we understand our team’s timing for obtaining materials, we will select a start date for the build. If you’re building your theater from an unfinished space in your house, we’ll coordinate with all relevant trades and will oversee the electrical, insulation, and HVAC infrastructure of your space so that every element of your project is constructed to the highest of standards. At that point, our team will get to work prewiring your theater and coordinating with other stakeholders to ensure that drywall, flooring, painting and finishes are completed on time and on budget. Once that’s all taken care of, you will begin to see your brand-new theater go from a plan to reality. We’ll install your acoustical treatments, assemble and install your screen, place surround sound speakers and theater seats, and mount your projector. Next, we will integrate other features such as motorized shades, smart lighting, gaming systems, and digital media servers while we build and connect your equipment rack with your pre-installed wiring.  Once a preliminary system operational capability is established, we will begin to program and calibrate your home theater, tuning it to the acoustics of the space and the control scheme of your preference.

Programming and Calibrating Your Home Theater This phase of the home theater installation is more important than most realize. Your newly installed, state-of-the-art equipment will come operating with factory settings, which may not be the best for your space or your taste. During this period of the installation, we will focus on setting up your equipment and tuning its performance to give you the best viewing and listening experience possible. Our team of experts will carefully calibrate your projector to ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) video-calibration standards and configure your audio processor and speaker system to achieve the best acoustic results in relation to your seating arrangement. During this process, repetitive testing helps us understand the effects of each little tweak we introduce to the system. Extensive testing during this phase of the project helps us achieve optimal performance and prevents issues during your normal use.  Bravo AV prides itself in building reliable, simplified control systems that will allow you full access to all of your theater’s capabilities. You will be able to manage your theater’s audio, video, lighting, and shading systems all through a universal interface. You will have complete control over all the functions of every source, such as skipping chapters on a Blu-ray disc, recording a show on cable or satellite TV, or scrolling through options on your Apple TV. We are able to combine the functionality of every remote you currently use into a single sleek interface. We can even set up control through an app on your smartphone, should you prefer. Forget having to find the sweet spot where you have to point the remote in order for your commands to get processed: the universal RF controllers we work with understand commands regardless of where you point the remote. After we wrap up our calibration and programming of your theater, we are able to get you and your family into your home theater and walk you through the awesome capabilities of your new system.

The Bravo AV Difference: A Personalized Experience

This is a very exciting time in the project for both you, the client, and the builders. We have finished our work and you are eager to see what we have done for you. We get to show off our work while you get to learn about all the cool new features of your home theater. We will sit down with you and your family in a personalized training session, showing you how to use your brand-new system and answer any questions you might have. This is so you and your family can make the most of your theater from the moment you begin watching your first film. We want you to enjoy every second and take notice of the high-quality audio and video. The best way to achieve this right away is to train you on how to get the best out of your home theater and point out subtleties that will improve your experience. We will create a customized binder for you that contains all of the manuals, warranties, and engineering documents you may need. Our team also takes pride in our post-installation service and maintenance. We not only offer remote system monitoring and support but also same-day service. Ultimately, Bravo AV stands out because of our commitment to you. We are genuinely passionate about helping our customers achieve their home theater dreams.
