What Should You Be Looking for in a Home Cinema Specialist?
Start here to learn everything about Home Theater
If you’re in the process of searching for an audio-video specialist for building or renovating a home theater at your house, you have plenty to consider. You need a professional that not only is going to take your vision and convert it into reality but also will handle your project with expertise, care and detailed communication throughout the process. Finding the right company for the home theater installation throughout the northern New Jersey area can be a difficult process. How do you know you will be making the right choice? Bravo AV is here to help. In this blog entry, the first of a three-part series, we detail what you should be looking for in a home theater installation and why Bravo AV’s customer-centric approach, experience, and technical knowledge make it stand out from other home theater companies.
Selecting a Home Theater Specialist We at Bravo AV know that there are plenty of companies in the Tri-State Area that offer home theater services. So, what should you be looking for in a home theater company? The first step is some online research. Check online reviews, for example. But perhaps most importantly, check to see if any third-party industry services certify the company. These third-party organizations, such as CEDIA or the Home Technology Association, are independent services that certify the ability of a home theater specialist. When you see that a company has a CEDIA certification or is one of the few to be HTA-certified, you can rest easy knowing that you will be partnering with a home cinema expert. Our team at Bravo AV is proud to be one of the only home theater specialists in the Mid-Atlantic to be CEDIA-certified in home theater design, networking, and technician services. We also are one of only five companies in the entire state of New Jersey to be certified by the HTA. Research can shine a light on our years of experience while accreditation by third party associations proves our technical prowess, but there is nothing quite like actually experiencing a high-quality theater like the one you are trying to build. We understand that this is a major investment for you and your family, so we built a showroom theater in our Bernardsville office with state-of-the-art equipment to give you a demonstration of what we can do in your home. Our theater is being constantly updated to feature the newest home theater technology, such as 7.4.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound, Sony 4K projection and 4K streaming content from Kaleidescape. Other AV companies often skip this significant cost, opting for pictures or videos of past installations. More than any sales pitch, technical design document, or promotional video, we think that our showroom theater provides you with an unshakable confidence in your investment in a Bravo home theater. We’d be happy to show you a scene or two from your favorite movie in our Bernardsville NJ showroom!

Consultation and Budgeting
The beginning phases of any home theater project are perhaps the most important.
You need a team that will listen to you, communicate with you on a frequent basis and will work hand-in-hand with you to create a design for your cinema that you will love.
By the time your project is ready to enter the installation phase, nearly every detail should already be planned.
We at Bravo AV treat this beginning portion of the project with utmost priority.
During our initial consultation with you to determine the scope of your project, we will sit down with you and take the time to understand your vision for your new home cinema.
We’ll review your goals, your timeline and also conduct a thorough examination of your budget.
Here are just a few of the questions we ask during this initial meeting, so we can get to know you and your project better:
Has the space been selected?
What level of audio and video performance is desired?
Who will use this system?
What level of fit and finish do you want?
The reason we take this discovery process so seriously is so that we can develop a home theater design that is optimized for you and your family. During this meeting, we also do a thorough review of your budget, explaining in detail the costs that go into any home theater project and working with you to develop the ideal plan for your custom cinema. (Bravo AV has an entire home theater budgeting worksheet you can access through filling out our contact form.) Once we understand the scope of your project and have worked with you to create an initial plan for your theater, the next phase of your project can begin: The design of your cinema.
