Warmer weather is here, and it’s getting beautiful. It’s time to play outside. Summer isn’t the longest in New Jersey, but we also have spectacular falls that make up for it. Why not make the most of the great weather with an outdoor entertainment setup? Whether it's catching a Yankees or Mets game this summer of rooting for the Jets or Giants this fall, an outdoor TV could turn your patio into a welcoming entertainment area for your family and friends. Invite friends over for summer movie nights on the patio; with today's plus-sized TVs and excellent options for outdoor sound you can almost rival your indoor setup.

We know there are a variety of outdoor TV options for your home in the New Vernon area. With our years of experience in outdoor entertainment solutions, Bravo AV is going to narrow it down to the best and newest models from the two best outdoor TV brands, SunBriteTV and Séura.

Outdoor TV Installation Facts and Tips
Even in partially covered spaces you need an outdoor TV

TVs for Your Covered Patio or Deck A covered patio is a perfect place for a TV, with comfortable outdoor furniture arranged for viewing. The SunBriteTV Veranda Series is made explicitly for full-shade outdoor use. The latest 4K Ultra HD resolution with HDR (high dynamic range) content will really pop on these TVs in a shaded area, just like you would have indoors. Just as the best TVs for indoor use may vary depending on the ambient light in the room, outdoor light affects picture quality, even in the shade. The Veranda Series TVs are up to 50% brighter than indoor TVs to ensure that your outdoor viewing never looks washed out. With models ranging from 43 to 75-inch screens, there is one that has the performance for whatever you like to watch - Netflix, sports, movies, or anything else. Séura is another outdoor TV specialist that also makes excellent models for shaded areas. The Séura  Shade Series features 450 nits of brightness, as well as sharp 4K HDR panels. They also include full-width 50-watt stereo soundbars to ensure that the sound matches the picture. Séura backs their TVs with an industry leading two-year warranty as well. The Shade Series come in 55, 65, and 75-inch sizes and feature IP54 waterproof ratings for unencumbered outdoor performance.

Outdoor TV Everything You Want to know
With Today's Technology, Outdoor TV's Can Be In Direct Sunlight

TVs for Full Sun, Partial Sun, and Active Areas In outdoor TVs, the light matters even more than inside. As the sun moves throughout the day, or clouds come in, outdoor light can change markedly. Without the right screen, the sun can wash out a picture. Both SunBriteTV and Séura have applied their outdoor expertise to this with some variation. The SunBrite Signature Series is made for areas that experience partial sunlight throughout the day. This could be a covered patio or a trellised area that might get sun during parts of the day. The Signature Series outdoor TVs all have 4K UHD resolution, special anti-glare screens, and SunBrite’s Optiview technology which adapts the picture to changing light conditions. Séura’s Ultra Bright Line is designed for both partial and full-sun use. With an incredible 1000 nits of brightness, the picture remains visible even in bright sun. Similar to SunBrite's Optiview, their Adaptive Picture Technology adjusts multiple picture settings to optimize video quality in changing light conditions. Ultra Bright models are available in 49 to 86-inch screen sizes and all feature HDR, making outdoor movie nights a definite must on your summer agenda. SunBrite takes a direct approach to full-sunlight applications with the Pro Series, which is a commercial-quality screen built to withstand not only the weather but continuous use, as it is also marketed for digital signage applications. The Pro Series is distinguished by a sturdy powder-coated aluminum frame and a protective glass shield over the screen. So, if a stray ball from your sport court hits it, the TV should be fine.

Indoor TVs Should Stay Indoors Both Séura and SunBrite TVs are built for the outdoor elements. Their construction is resistant to water, temperature extremes, humidity, and even bugs. We cannot stress more that you should invest in a high-quality outdoor TV from one of these brands for your outdoor living space; indoor TVs simply don’t cut it outside. At best, they will wear out quickly; at worst, they can overheat and catch fire or create another electrical hazard as they are not water resistant.
