Serenity Room Design
A Serenity Room is a quiet space of absolute comfort stripped of all unwanted stimuli. It is an isolated space within your home or office where you can easily remove yourself from the white noise of the outside world and immerse yourself in a state of relaxation that you did not even know possible. Seamlessly integrated controls allow you control over every aspect of your experience. Your Serenity Room can be a space to retreat, rejuvenating the mind and healing the body. Serenity rooms are sometimes referred to as mediation rooms or sanctuaries.

Maybe your leaning more towards an escape room, like a Home Theater?
Acoustics
A well-designed Serenity Room accounts for both sound travel within the room as well as how outside sound can bleed through its walls. Above all, we want to remove any unwanted sounds from your space. Especially for those in noisy urban areas, it is incredible to witness firsthand the healing power of complete silence. Acoustics should be tailored to your taste and expectations for the space. With my years of experience in acoustics design and my well- trained team, we can turn your sonic desires into a reality.
Music
Music is an incredibly powerful art medium that has the ability to stir the emotions of the listener. One of these emotions is tranquility. Easy access to whatever music or other auditory recordings that will help you find that place of deep relaxation can be at your fingertips. You should be able to enjoy your sonic experience as the artist intended with minimal degradation in sound quality. Bravo’s experience with high-performance listening room and home theater design allows us to deliver you the perfect sound.
Lighting
It is scientifically proven that lighting has a direct impact on our wellbeing. I want to completely remove any lighting detriments to both your eyesight and mood. By incorporating state of the art Lutron lighting controls and fully dimmable lights that fit your style, you can be in complete control of the lighting in your Serenity Room.
Colors
I want your room to have the exact shades and accents that you had in mind. I’ve found that light, neutral colors work best for walls as they help balance energies and maintain a sense of calm.
Furnishing
Function over form here. Should the choice arise, I usually encourage my clients to go with the more comfortable option over the more aesthetically pleasing one.
Flooring
I usually recommend carpet for its wonderful capability to reduce unwanted sound reflections but we can accommodate a variety of materials with minimal sacrifice to acoustic performance.
Air Quality
The air quality and temperature in your room will have an understated effect on how rejuvenated you feel after using it. Ideally, the room’s air would be exchanged at minimum of 6 times an hour by an independently controlled HVAC system. See our paper on HVAC for home theaters, as many of those design goals are the same.
